“A Tree Is Life”: Planting Trees in Haiti for Future Generations
In Haiti, deforestation is a huge problem. Because of the struggling economy, people often cut down trees and make charcoal to sell. But when the trees are cut down, there is less protection from floods. One Haitian man wanted to plant more trees, so he connected with the local congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Working together, they were able to plant trees that will grow and bless future generations.
