Behind the Scenes: Catholic Community Services

LDS Charities partners with Catholic Community Services to help provide meals in Salt Lake City.
LDS Charities partners with Catholic Community Services in Salt Lake City, Utah, to help people experiencing homelessness and low-income families in the Salt Lake City area. Catholic Community Services runs the St. Vincent de Paul dining hall and the Weigand Homeless Resource Center that helps people get out of homelessness. The dining hall feeds almost 1,000 people each day with meals during lunch and dinner. Almost 50 percent of the food served is donated by the LDS Church. Volunteers help prepare and serve meals and clean up the dining hall. Church groups around the Salt Lake valley come to the St. Vincent de Paul dining hall to volunteer. You can learn more about Catholic Community Services and learn how to donate or volunteer at www.CCSUtah.org.
